When not working, I try to entertain, encourage and educate my kids – all the time wrestling with my wife about taking more time off.
After a torturous education, I took a rather circuitous route through a long list of jobs that included DJing, stockbroking and promoting nightclubs – learning more about the city’s nightlife than anyone really needs to. All the time my father waited for me to get a ‘real job’ with holiday pay.
I founded the Slinky Group in East Perth in June 1998, which started off providing an array of teleco and internet services, followed by web design and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) soon after. The agency grew.
In 2010 I had a paradigm shift and moved to Bali, where I lived with my family for 5 years and worked on perfecting the art of managing a team and clients remotely, while surfing every morning.
Although now mostly living in Perth, I travel to and from Bali with an addictive passion while coordinating an ever growing team of geeks and listening to a vast array of music; still carefully avoiding endless meetings.
I’ve definitely never been bored; I hope the same can be said for you after graciously taking time to read this.
